My Long Term Residence in Prague

Today, in the morning, I woke up so early, about 5 o’clock just to get small number of queue at the foreign police. I must go there to registrate and get the long term residence, so I wouldn’t be claimed as an Alien in Prague, Czech Republic. So, how it goes? Yes, it’s frustrating, that I should get in line with various people which came from various level of education. The point I want to tell here is most of them came from low level of education who needs a private lesson for respecting the rights of others. Then, suddenly there was no line, as I already guessed. They pretended that there was no queue and no rule. So funny to experience something like that. Fortunately, I have a colleague there, so we can kill the time by talking useful things or joking. That’s how we ease the stress. At 7 a.m, the door was open and the crowd entered the office like a wild stallion breaking out.

Then we finally got the number and completed the business today. I did the paper work, put the stamp of 1000 CZK, and got the Resident Sticker as a confirmation of my registration. It’s relaxing.. after so stupid activities. Then I should do this, again, 6 months later, on September, but maybe I should arrange a better plan, maybe a big cup of warm coffee in my backpack will be good. What do you think??

  1. I like your post. I had no idea people still have to do things like that in Prague. In the European Union!

It reads like a scene from Kafka…

    Best wishes, happy Easter
